Welcoming little Joseph Alexander back in front of my camera for these timeless baby boy newborn portraits in Saratoga Springs was such a treat! This family had such a wonderful experience during their in-home Lifestyle Newborn Portraits that they wanted to plan a studio newborn session when their  grandparents were in town.  I loved welcoming them to our cozy Saratoga Springs newborn studio and creating the sweetest setups for their snuggly baby boy. 

Timeless Baby Boy Newborn Portraits in Saratoga Springs

For Joseph’s portraits, we kept the look simple and classic. I used lots of soft neutrals and light blue accents to match his adorable dog-themed nursery. Mom loved the little teddy bear hat, and our rattan stroller was a big hit, too!  Joseph gave us the cutest expressions throughout the session! I couldn’t get enough of his chubby cheeks and tiny little features. 

One thing I love about working with families is helping them find the session style that feels right for them. Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home and capture your family in a natural, relaxed way, whether that’s snuggling on the couch, soothing your baby in the nursery, or simply enjoying those first days together. These in-home sessions also allow us to capture the nursery and even include your fur family. 

Studio newborn sessions, on the other hand, give us more control over lighting, props, and styling, resulting in beautiful portraits with a timeless feel. These sessions often focus more on baby, whereas in-home lifestyle sessions are more family focused. Many families can’t choose just one, and that’s the beauty of  The Collective Membership. You can have the best of both worlds! 

The Collective Membership

The Collective Membership includes up to four sessions over an 18-month period, making it easy to document everything from maternity through your baby’s first birthday. Some families choose to do both a lifestyle and a studio newborn session, like Joseph’s family.  

Joseph’s studio session was the perfect complement to his at-home lifestyle portraits. Together, they tell such a rich story of these early days filled with joy, love, and the sweetest little features that change all too quickly.
