I truly loved this family portrait session! If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that Cape Cod is one of my favorite places. I enjoy summers on the Cape and evenings spent photographing families at all of my favorite beaches. So many of my New York clients have heard me talk about the Cape and seen me share photos of families there over the years. It’s such a compliment when they then decide to book a Salt Air session on Cape Cod and plan a whole vacation around it. That’s exactly what this family did!

Family Portraits at Lighthouse Beach

I met up with Jen and her beautiful family at Lighthouse Beach in Chatham at sunset for the most beautiful, serene session for this family of three. The sky was like cotton candy, the sea was calm, and the sand dunes were the perfect spot for playful fun. I always encourage families to forget for a moment that they’re being photographed. Instead, I want them to love on the ones that they love the most. This family did exactly that. Julianne got to twirl and dance with her mom, race with her dad, enjoy lots of hugs and kisses. Together they played countless games that made everyone laugh during their family portraits at Lighthouse Beach.

Jen and her family looked incredible for their Cape Cod portraits. The family chose a light blue and white palette for their outfits. Mom wore a stunning lace summer dress and Julianne had an adorable blue and white striped dress, bringing in the colors from both parents’ outfits. We had the perfect evening, and my hope is that they will look back at their portraits and remember this idyllic moment from their family vacation, and the beautiful love that they share.
