Welcoming sweet Liliana Marie was such a joy! This was this family’s very first baby, and celebrating her arrival with a newborn portrait session felt so special. She was absolutely perfect in every way. We captured some of the most precious awake portraits and then styled setups that felt soft, feminine, and timeless.

One of my favorite details from Liliana’s session was the fresh floral styling. We incorporated beautiful blooms from The Posie Peddler, which added a soft, feminine touch. Fresh flowers are such a wonderful addition to any newborn session, or really any portrait session! The textures, colors, and variety instantly elevate the portraits while keeping them natural and organic. For Liliana, we chose light pink and white florals that framed her so sweetly and brought an airy, timeless feel to the images.

I love working with florals in portrait sessions because there are truly endless ways to use them. Flowers can be styled as a nest around a newborn, woven into blankets or baskets, or even placed delicately in the background to add depth and texture.
