When many people hear graduation portraits, they automatically think of high school seniors in caps and gowns, preparing to head off to college; however, graduation isn’t just for eighteen-year-olds. Preschool and kindergarten graduation portraits are the perfect way to celebrate your little one entering a new and exciting milestone in their lives as they head off to big kid school! It’s such an exciting season filled with growth, independence, and so many “lasts” before a whole new adventure begins.

Tiny Graduate Sessions

I first started these graduation portraits when my own son was in Kindergarten, photographing his entire class in blue caps and gowns, which is the same color they will wear when they graduate from high school in our town someday.

I remember thinking how special it would be to pull out those years from now and look at how much they’ve grown. There’s something so incredible about preserving that tiny face, those baby teeth, and their sweetness, energy, and enthusiasm at this age. After experiencing how meaningful those portraits were for our own family, I knew I wanted to offer the same experience to other families celebrating this milestone.

That’s when I started offering these Tiny Graduate Sessions each year to celebrate other little ones!

Cap and Gown Portraits For Littles

For these adorable studio portraits, I provide everything needed to make your little graduate feel official, including a cap and gown! Kids love dressing up; however, I think it is the confetti that really makes these sessions so memorable for the kids. Confetti makes everything more fun! Each child can choose their own confetti colors, then we put on some of their favorite songs, toss confetti in the air, dance around, and simply have fun with it. Since the experience feels like play, the smiles are genuine and the portraits are filled with personality.
