Katie and Zach are longtime clients of mine, and I adore seeing their family year after year. It’s hard to believe that we just captured their third studio maternity portraits in Saratoga Springs! Zach reached out years ago when his wife was pregnant with their first son to schedule a maternity session, and after talking with me, Katie fell in love with the Collective Membership and booked a year of portraits for her little one. It was such a treat getting to know their entire family that first year (grandparents and all!), and it really was the start of something very sweet.
I was thrilled when they told me they were expecting again, and coincidentally they delivered their second baby on the same exact day that my daughter was born. We now have little birthday buddies! It’s truly a gift to build connections with my clients that extend beyond the studio walls – and I think birthday buddies is definitely a fun one!
Katie told me last fall that they were expecting their third little boy, and I immediately overflowed with joy for them. We’ve been counting down to her baby’s arrival, and they joined me at the studio for family and maternity portraits to document these special last days when it was just the four of them, right before their family became complete.
Big brothers Carter and Bennett were so sweet the entire time, and you could really tell they were eager to meet their new brother. These hockey-loving boys are going to scoop him right up and have so much fun with him! It is such an honor to be a part of their story and memories year after year!
I love that Katie wanted studio maternity portraits because we could really lean into the light and airy feel of the studio for her session. Everything felt so cozy and she even got to wear one of my brand new dresses in the Mama Wardrobe. She looked incredible and I’m so happy that we created such meaningful portraits to celebrate her new baby boy!
