This time of year is so magical. Christmastime is something I hold near and dear to my heart. I love creating sweet and meaningful family holiday traditions and memories. I started many of our traditions with my kids back in 2020. I wanted to be intentional through the month of December creating special moments of connection and lasting core memories. Our holiday tradition started with a felt stocking Christmas calendar that I sewed and embroidered. The stockings held tiny notes that included an activity, treat, or surprise for the day. It’s become one of those traditions that anchors our holiday season. It serves as a gentle reminder to slow down, enjoy the moment, and sprinkle a little magic throughout the month. I’ve been compiling our family’s December traditions since 2020, writing down ideas, favorites, simple moments that worked, and little things that made my children light up. For the past few years, I’ve wanted to organize everything into one easy guide that other families could enjoy. This year, I finally created The Magic Maker’s Holiday Guide. I’m so excited to finally share it with you!

Now, families who’ve always wanted to create a similar rhythm to their December, but without the overwhelm of planning something new every single day can do just that. This 25 page pdf is filled with 120+ ideas for easy ways to incorporate magic and new traditions throughout your family’s December. This holiday traditions guide also includes a list of 50 favorite holiday picture books, an intention setting guide, calendars & customizable templates, and a few other goodies.
The guide is also broken into categories with a wealth of festive ideas in each so that you can choose what feels right for your family:
Acts of Kindness
Holiday Baking
Holiday Crafts
At Home
Around Town
Trinkets & Treats

Every December, I find myself wanting to slow down and savor the season. The twinkle lights, the cozy nights, the stories, the kindness – these are the things my kids remember, and honestly, the things I remember too. However, when you’re juggling work, life, and parenting, it can feel overwhelming to come up with new ideas, and that’s exactly why I created this guide. Now you don’t have to think about it. You can pick it up, flip through, and choose a few simple ideas for your family.
Don’t think that just because December already started it’s too late to get started. You have an entire month to make this season extra special. Start today, choose a few favorites from each category, and try a couple of new things this year. Then next year, you’ll already know exactly how you want to plan your December.
This guide was lovingly created by a mom of two and family photographer who loves documenting childhood magic. This guide helps you focus on what matters most: togetherness, connection, and memory-making during the most special time of the year. So pour a cup of something warm, turn on the twinkle lights, and get ready to make this December one your family will remember for years to come.
I hope that no matter what your traditions are that you have a beautiful holiday season with your loved ones!!
