I truly adore this family! This is their third baby boy, and they’ve trusted me to document each of their babies’ first years ever since Andy’s oldest big brother, Carter, was born in 2019. I’ll never take this job for granted, and I am always grateful for families that invite me into their lives year after year to celebrate all of their milestones and the arrival of each new addition. It is so special to watch families grow and to know that their memories are safely documented for years to come. I’m so happy I was able to capture Anderson’s classic studio newborn portraits this year!

Classic Studio Newborn Portraits for Baby Boy

Anderson recently arrived in the world, and his beautiful family brought him to my Saratoga Springs studio for their third newborn session with me. Andy’s big brothers, Carter and Benny, were over the moon to show off their new brother to me. Neither could get enough – wanting to sit with him and snuggle on the fluffiest rug in my studio. After watching both of these boys grow up, it was so meaningful to watch them both step into this role of big brother (again, for Carter) so easily.

The boys’ parents chose a simple color palette for their portraits. The family wore shades of blue to snuggle with Anderson. I love the idea of a monochromatic palette. It keeps things simple, but comes across beautifully in the final portraits. For Andy’s solo portraits, we chose grey and tan blankets and hats for him, keeping with more neutral options that would look amazing next to the portraits with blue attire. Everything felt so seamless in the final gallery!

Heirloom Artwork to Cherish

A few days after delivering their wall art, mom texted me a photo of her wall that now holds a triptych of portraits of their favorite milestones – their wedding portrait, their very first maternity portrait when they were awaiting their firstborn, and their latest family portrait, party of five. It is so incredible to see their memories displayed together and again, I am so honored that they trusted me with their three boys’ earliest days.
