Maizey is ONE! I have had the joy of watching and documenting all of her milestones this year, and seeing her family every few months has been a true highlight of the year. They’re part of the Collective Membership, so we’ve documented Maizey’s big milestones over the last year. This sweet girl is pure sunshine, and her sparkling personality really shone through during her entire session– you can practically hear her giggles while looking at these portraits with her mama and dada!
Maizey’s session began with new family portraits with her and her parents, as well as some new milestone portraits. She got to sit and crawl around the studio in an adorable little pink romper. Afterwards, Maizey got to show off her special hockey jersey! Her mama has spent her whole life on the hockey rink, so naturally Maizey has her own jersey and stick already. We couldn’t resist capturing a couple of extra special mother-daughter portraits showing this passion.
The rest of Maizey’s session was her cake smash! Her family chose a classic color palette for her cake smash, and we used soft pink and white balloons for a festive look. Maizey loved digging into her cake, and she had the best expressions during the cake smash! She was able to enjoy an allergy-friendly cake (don’t worry – I have lots of talented local bakers I can recommend who can meet your needs!), followed by a bathtub splash at the end. She’s adorable and I’m going to miss having her in my studio every few months now that she’s a big one year old!!
