I can’t believe that Aidan is already ONE! Last year, I met this sweet family when they brought their 8 week old son to Saratoga Springs. We captured newborn portraits in the studio, and along this very spot, we captured their first portraits as a family of three. Now, they’re back to capture this summer’s memories. I love that not only has visiting Saratoga Springs become a tradition for them, but inviting me to capture their memories has too! This is one of my favorite parts of working with families year after year, as I get to watch their little ones grow.

Family Portraits on Broadway in Saratoga Springs

This summer we went back to the same spot on Broadway and Rachel and Adam watched their sweet baby smile, walk around, and wave. What a year it’s been for them! Aidan is full of personality and I truly enjoyed watching him laugh at me while he enjoyed our little town. I’m also obsessed with the color palette they chose for their outfits. The ivory and sage green looked amazing next to the fountain, along the street, and when they all cuddled up on the bench I brought along.

Since capturing families naturally together is important to me, we made sure that there were plenty of playful moments for Aidan and his parents. His dad played airplane with him, and they both even helped Aidan walk down the sidewalk (one of my favorite photos for little ones this age!). Of course, we let him explore on his own too and he found he really liked standing up on the wooden benches to watch the world pass by. So adorable!

I’m so grateful they invited me to be a part of their special vacation memories again this summer. It was so good to see everyone and I hope to be able to see them again next year!
