There is something incredibly special about getting to watch a family grow. It is truly something that I look forward to and means the world to me. This adorable little boy, Andy, is the third brother in this sweet family, and I’ve been honored to document the first year milestones for all three boys. From newborn sessions to sitter milestones and now their first birthdays, it never gets old seeing how each little personality shines in their own way. Andy’s timeless cake smash session was so much fun and his bright smiles and personality filled the session with so much joy.

Timeless Cake Smash

For his cake smash, we kept the theme classic and cohesive with the same neutral color palette we used for his brothers. It is hard to go wrong with pearlescent white balloons and delicate twinkle lights. This combination creates a clean, light-filled setting that photographs beautifully and never goes out of style Not to mention, the simple backdrop lets your baby shine!

Andy absolutely lit up the studio. He was so smiley and expressive from the moment we began. I just loved his big, open-mouthed grins and little exclamations of joy. Those genuine reactions are always my favorite part of a cake smash session. You simply let them explore, play, and celebrate! One year is such a fun and important milestone for both baby and the entire family.
